My philosophy is that all students should have the opportunity to enjoy music. I LOVE teaching music and all the creativity that goes into lesson planning, and giving children engaging, fun, musical experiences.
A favorite quote:
Tell me, I forget.
Show me, I remember.
Involve me, I understand.
-- Carl Orff

Background:
I grew up in NH and attended the University of New Hampshire for both my BA and MAT in music. Music has always been a huge part of my life. I sang all the time growing up and played the piano. In high school I was in chorus, marching band, and drama club. This is my fifth year teaching music. My first two years I taught band, chorus, and general music in Hartford, VT at a prek-5 school. This is my third year teaching at Mitchell School. I love being back in the seacoast area near my friends, family, and the beautiful sea! Currently I enjoy playing the ukulele, taking walks, and spending time with my husband and two cats Figaro and Praline. :-)
