Winter Concert!

Dear Music Students and Parents,
Our
winter concert is fast approaching. It is on Thursday, December 10th.
Please encourage your child(ren) to practice every day, especially singing all
the words. Students have received the song lyrics and there are links to the
songs on this blog post:
Concert Attire: “Holiday best,” which means
students should try to look their best. Red, green, blue, and other bright
colors work well. No new outfits needed! Students wear normal school clothes
during the day. Concert attire only needed for nighttime performance.
Procedures:
· Grade K/1 students should arrive at Shapleigh Middle School at
5:45 PM. We will begin our performance promptly
at 6:00 PM. Please note that the doors to the gymnasium will not be opened
until 5:45 PM.
· Grade 2/3 students should arrive at Shapleigh Middle School at
6:30 PM. We will begin our performance promptly
at 6:45 PM. Please note that the doors to the gymnasium will not be opened
until 6:30 PM.
· In order to have enough parking
and seating available, we are asking that families only attend the concerts
their children are performing in. Thank you for your understanding. If a family
has students in both the K/1 and 2/3 concerts they may keep their seats from
one concert to the next.
· Students will leave their coats
and belongings with their parents/guardians for safe keeping.
· Students will go right to their
concert spots on the risers and wait for further direction. The order for
classes on the risers for grades K/1 is:
Bartlett, Clark, Campion, Davis, MacDougall, Eames,
Dorazio, Downs, Jagentenfl, Greer, Nealey, Sallade
Grades 2/3:
JR, Hartley, Staulcup, DeLuca, Howe, Lantz, Normandin, Perry,
Peternell, Wilson
· After the performance students will stay where they are and Mr.
Foster will dismiss a few classes’ parents at a time to come find their
children.
· Please remind your child(ren) to
use the restroom before they arrive or right when they arrive as there will be
no time to go once the concert starts.
· Make a donation in the lobby
before each show for a chance to win the “Best
Seat in the House.” Win up to 4 reserved front row seats for your family!
This raffle helps support the purchase of fun new music for your children. Thank
you for supporting music in our school.
