Boomwhackers Grade 2

2nd graders are doing their second week of boomwhackers and are having lots of fun! Here is Mrs. JR's class performing Baa Baa Black Sheep on the boomwhackers!

We have new "octavator caps" in music this year which are the black caps on the bottom of the boomwhackers. This allows you to hit the boomwhacker on the ground and it makes the note a whole octave lower! So not only do we have longer and lower boomwhackers that we can stand up to play, but we have octavator caps to make them sound even lower! :-)

2nd graders spent a week in October doing boomwhacker stations. Students got to rotate to 6 different stations to practice their boomwhacker and rhythm skills.
